Today I’ll share with you one of my all time favorite recipes: Superfood Seed Pesto! This variation of a kitchen classic is indeed super as you can fix it in a flash, it tastes oh so good and is full of raw whole food ingredients that will deeply nourish your body mind and spirit.

The Superfood Seed Pesto tastes especially good with noodles (duh!). In case you want to go gluten free, I  love, love, love the spaghetti from Andean Dream. They are made from quinoa and rice but taste exactly like the real thing minus the bloat. If you wish to keep the entire meal raw, simply use spiralized zucchini noodles. Other delicious uses for this incredibly versatile Superfood Seed Pesto: stir it into your salad dressing, use it as a marinade or as a dip.

Prep time 5 minutes


  • 1 handful fresh basil
  • 1 handful fresh parsley
  • 1 small handful pecan nuts or walnuts
  • 2.5 ounces of virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of raw hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed 
  • 1 tablespoon raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon raw pumpkin seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Add all ingredients into a personal blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve the consistency you like. Keep a spatula handy to scrape down the sides of of the container of the appliance you use in case the mixture gets stuck.
